Who we are
Our team comprises experienced marketers from a variety of industries who combine their expertise to deliver tried-and-true, professional strategies to orthodontists, pediatric dentists and general dentists.
Leon + Amy:
Better Together
Co-founded in 2011, People + Practice brings tried-and-true marketing strategies employed by large brands to orthodontists, pediatric dentists and general dentists. The combination of Leon’s deep marketplace knowledge and experience managing successful practices and Amy’s communications experience has fueled both P+P’s and its client’s growth.

Leon retired from clinical orthodontics after 38 years maintaining two busy practices on Long Island in New York. He received his dental and orthodontic degrees from University of Maryland and Tufts University, respectively and currently maintains a teaching position at Harvard University. He's also the Director of Orthodontics at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Leon co-founded People + Practice with his daughter Amy, in 2011.

Dr. Leon Klempner

Amy harnesses her 20 years of experience in marketing communications, branding and public relations to help orthodontic practices grow. Amy has an MBA in Marketing from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and a BS in Marketing from the University of Maryland. Amy co-founded People + Practice in 2011.

Amy Epstein

Jessie is passionate about fueling practice growth for the doctors and teams that make healthcare happen. Her 20 years of experience managing people and marketing for small businesses, combined with her positivity and innovative nature, has fueled People + Practice's growth over the past decade. With an eye for efficiency and growth opportunities, Jessie leads the P+P team of Growth Consultants, helping them navigate the complex marketing landscape to achieve their business objectives by providing strategic guidance and actionable solutions.

Jessie Pressman

Lacie began working in the orthodontic industry in 1999 and has experience in many areas of practice operations including chairside assisting, taking records, schedule coordination treatment coordination and marketing. She has also worked as a practice consultant, helping to train Treatment Coordinators, set up marketing strategies and help strengthen team culture and morale. She quickly fell in love with marketing and has worked hard to combine her love of graphic design and marketing communications with her passion for orthodontics.

Lacie Ellis

Maggie-Jean is a founding member of P+P, providing stellar client service since 2011. She ensures that everyone she works with receives personalized, creative, forward-thinking ideas and implementation that drive their business forward. Maggie-Jean graduated from Marist College with a BS in Psychology and also graduated from Peconic Bay Medical Center with a certification in Radiologic Technology. She spent four years working with Dr. Leon in clinical practice as a patient concierge and marketing manager.

Maggie-Jean Hanley

Gregory is committed to developing comprehensive marketing programs that fit his clients' needs and nurture the growth of their practices. Prior to working at People & Practice, Gregory consulted on marketing projects and communications for a variety of small businesses and non-profit organizations. He also runs a private music studio, and takes pride in fostering his students' love for music and preparing them for successful auditions into many of New York City’s most prestigious music programs. Gregory holds degrees from Manhattan School of Music and Bard college.

Gregory Roberts

Ashley comes to the People + Practice team with a 10 year background in marketing for consumer packaged goods, with extensive experience running multi-faceted national campaigns. With a passion for curating compelling narratives and forging new paths of business growth, she’s committed to helping bring her clients a diversified marketing strategy that creates lasting impact.

Ashley Buchart

Maxfield is committed to helping his clients successfully grow their practices by implementing thoughtful and effective marketing strategies. His previous work entailed business management, development and social media marketing where he gained an appreciation for the power that digital marketing has in helping businesses thrive. Max is passionate about working in an industry that promotes health and wellness and is excited to help his clients connect with new patients.

Maxfield Panish

Arash heads up the Digital Advertising division of People & Practice, where he is responsible for introducing your practice to new prospective patients. He has over a decade of experience supporting small local businesses connect more effectively, and authentically with their surrounding communities. Prior to joining People & Practice, Arash worked with a number of start-ups bringing products to market in the small business marketing and proximity marketing spaces. Arash holds an MBA in Marketing from San Francisco State University and a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Arash Shoushtari

Jana has extensive experience in online marketing and social media, working with several highly successful organizations. She has overseen digital promotion strategies, led development of major editorial and social initiatives, created, curated and published compelling digital content, and managed all aspects of daily operations for various robust online destinations focused on community and interactivity.

Jana Manu

With over 23 years of in-office experience Brandi has a true understanding of the inner workings of an orthodontic practice, and what it takes to thrive. She has held several different positions including chairside assistant and laboratory manager, where she managed an in-house lab for four busy practice locations - even creating specialty appliances. Brandi also received in-depth training on uLab Systems applications and creating custom aligners.

Over the last 10+ years, Kara has provided various sectors of the healthcare industry with business development and sales consulting services. She has worked with many practices in a wide range of lifecycle stages - from start up to retirement and selling. Her goal is to help our practices create an amazing digital first impression to attract new patients.
